Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, minutes, and documents with meticulous accuracy and confidentiality
- Process public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Coordinate municipal elections including ballot preparation and voter registration support
- Assist City Council meetings by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and maintaining procedural records
- Provide administrative support to department heads and elected officials
- Update and maintain digital document management systems
- Respond to public inquiries regarding city procedures and regulations
- Train staff on record-keeping protocols and document retention policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or clerical experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software
- Strong knowledge of public records laws and municipal procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Valid Missouri driver's license
