Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official municipal records, permits, and documentation with meticulous accuracy
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens, businesses, and city departments via in-person, phone, and digital channels
- Process applications, licenses, and permits ensuring compliance with city ordinances and regulations
- Coordinate public meetings and hearings, including scheduling, minute-taking, and documentation preparation
- Utilize municipal databases and software systems for record-keeping and reporting functions
- Assist with departmental administrative tasks including correspondence, filing, and data management
- Support election and voting processes as required by city and state regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or clerical experience in government or public sector
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and record-keeping software
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for public interaction
- Knowledge of Pittsburgh municipal processes and regulations is advantageous
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and background checks
