Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, documents, and digital archives with meticulous attention to detail
- Process and coordinate public records requests in compliance with California Public Records Act
- Support City Council meetings through agenda preparation, minute-taking, and documentation
- Handle citizen inquiries regarding city procedures, permits, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate departmental communications and ensure accurate information dissemination
- Assist in election administration and voter registration processes
- Maintain compliance with municipal record retention policies and legal standards
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or clerical experience in government or regulated environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and records management systems
- Strong knowledge of California public records regulations and municipal procedures
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Valid California Driver's License (may be required for occasional field duties)
