Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate, up-to-date, and organized official city records and files.
- Assist constituents, visitors, and staff with inquiries regarding municipal services, policies, and procedures.
- Process and review incoming applications, permits, and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute correspondence, reports, and meeting agendas.
- Operate standard office equipment including printers, scanners, and fax machines.
- Perform data entry and database management tasks with a high degree of precision.
- Support department heads and administrative staff with various clerical and organizational tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in clerical, administrative, or customer service roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government filing systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict government regulations and protocols.
