Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with a professional and courteous demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Process driver's license renewals, vehicle registrations, and identification card applications accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit card, and check transactions with strict adherence to financial protocols and auditing standards.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints regarding DMV policies, fees, and processing times in a timely manner.
- Operate complex computer systems and state databases to update customer records and verify document validity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including the front lobby and service windows.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to streamline workflow and reduce customer wait times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree or certificate in business administration or customer service preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, reception, or administrative support roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with data entry systems.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in record-keeping and transaction processing.
