Responsibilities
- Supervise inmate activities during night shifts to maintain safety and compliance with facility protocols
- Conduct regular security patrols and surveillance operations to prevent contraband and escapes
- Respond to emergencies including medical incidents, disturbances, and security breaches
- Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation using digital systems
- Enforce institutional rules and administer disciplinary actions per policy
- Coordinate with law enforcement agencies during transfers and emergency responses
- Monitor surveillance systems to detect suspicious behavior and potential threats
Qualifications
- Must be 21+ years old with high school diploma or equivalent
- Nevada Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification required
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- Pass comprehensive background check, drug screening, and physical fitness test
- Ability to work rotating night shifts including weekends and holidays
- Strong conflict resolution skills and crisis management experience
- Proficient in report writing and digital surveillance systems
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
