Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and maintain secure facility operations during night shift
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance to prevent security breaches
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with professional crisis management
- Document daily logs and incident reports with precision
- Enforce institutional rules and ensure compliance with departmental policies
- Collaborate with day-shift personnel for seamless transition of operations
- Participate in mandatory defensive tactics and emergency response training
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old with U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- TX Peace Officer License (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Physical fitness to handle emergency response and restraint procedures
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for report documentation
