Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and speed
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using CAD systems and radio communications
- Maintain detailed logs of all incidents and communications
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during critical situations
- Operate multiple communication platforms simultaneously
- Collaborate with cross-agency personnel during major incidents
- Adhere to strict protocols for information confidentiality and security
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Clear criminal background check and drug screening
- Typing proficiency of 40+ WPM
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Basic computer literacy and multi-tasking abilities
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Florida driver's license required
