Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and maintain facility security protocols
- Conduct regular patrols and headcounts to ensure compliance
- Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and medical incidents
- Prepare detailed incident reports and administrative documentation
- Screen visitors and packages following established procedures
- Operate security systems and control room equipment
- Train and mentor new correctional staff members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph
- Physical fitness certification and defensive training
- Basic computer literacy and report-writing skills
- Ability to work rotating nights, weekends, and holidays
- Previous law enforcement or military experience preferred
