Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility security protocols
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance rounds
- Process new admissions and manage inmate records
- Respond to emergencies and de-escalate conflicts
- Prepare detailed incident and shift reports
- Coordinate with law enforcement and medical staff
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness test
- Basic computer literacy and documentation skills
- Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Previous security or law enforcement experience a plus
