Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional rules to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Conduct head counts, cell searches, and routine inspections of living and work areas.
- Respond to emergencies and altercations, utilizing de-escalation techniques and force when necessary.
- Transport inmates to court, medical facilities, or work assignments while maintaining strict control.
- Document observations, incidents, and inmate behavior accurately in official logs and reports.
- Supervise inmate work details and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaborate with staff to develop and implement rehabilitation programs.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident eligible for citizenship.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum age of 21 years old.
- Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Physical ability to perform duties in a correctional facility, including standing, walking, and moderate lifting.
