Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce institutional rules to maintain security
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and personal belongings
- Respond to emergencies and incidents using de-escalation techniques
- Prepare detailed incident reports and documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency situations
- Operate security systems including surveillance equipment and control panels
- Provide transportation for inmates between facilities
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year security or law enforcement experience
- Ability to pass federal background check and medical examination
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
