Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility security protocols 24/7
- Conduct regular rounds, searches, and headcounts to maintain order
- Respond to emergencies, altercations, and medical incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Operate security systems including CCTV, control rooms, and perimeter controls
- Escort inmates within the facility and during transfers
- Collaborate with healthcare, counseling, and administrative teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Ohio driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and physical fitness test
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Strong conflict resolution and crisis management skills
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing
- No felony convictions and clean criminal history
