Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules to maintain security
- Conduct routine inspections of living quarters and common areas
- Respond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Document daily logs and incident reports with precision
- Screen visitors and packages according to department protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during transfers and investigations
- Participate in mandatory training programs and drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer skills for report documentation
- Physical ability to meet job demands (standing, walking, climbing)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- No felony convictions required
