Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and maintain facility security during night shifts
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance rounds
- Enforce facility rules and respond to incidents per protocol
- Document daily logs and incident reports accurately
- Collaborate with medical and mental health staff for inmate welfare
- Participate in emergency response and evacuation drills
- Maintain equipment readiness and safety standards
Qualifications
- 21+ years of age with valid Arizona driver's license
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Successful completion of Corrections Officer training academy
- Physical fitness to pass agility tests (push-ups, sit-ups, run)
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and holidays
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
