Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and ensure facility security protocols are maintained
- Conduct regular perimeter and building inspections to prevent contraband
- Document incidents and maintain accurate shift reports using digital systems
- Respond to emergency situations with de-escalation and crisis management techniques
- Process inmate transfers and court appearances with strict adherence to procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare and rehabilitation staff for inmate welfare programs
- Participate in mandatory training on safety regulations and legal updates
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Basic computer proficiency for report documentation
- Ability to obtain and maintain Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification
