Responsibilities
- Manage citizen inquiries via phone, email, and in-person at public service counters
- Process and review permits, licenses, and county applications ensuring compliance
- Coordinate cross-functional projects between departments (Planning, Health, Public Works)
- Maintain digital and physical records using county databases and filing systems
- Prepare official correspondence, reports, and presentations for department leadership
- Assist in budget tracking and procurement documentation
- Support public meetings, hearings, and community outreach events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of local government regulations and procedures preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Valid Michigan Driver's License required
