Responsibilities
- Design and implement epidemiological studies to identify health trends in Bexar County
- Analyze complex health data using statistical software (e.g., SAS, R)
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for county commissioners
- Coordinate with community organizations on health intervention programs
- Prepare comprehensive reports for public health initiatives
- Manage grant applications and compliance for federal/state funding
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on public emergencies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public health analytics or government roles
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
- Demonstrated experience with grant writing and compliance
- Strong understanding of Texas public health regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
