Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of multimodal transportation infrastructure projects
- Oversee capital improvement programs with budgets exceeding $10M
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies for permitting and compliance
- Manage cross-functional teams including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders
- Develop technical specifications and construction documents
- Conduct field inspections and ensure project quality standards
- Analyze traffic patterns and recommend infrastructure improvements
- Prepare grant applications and secure funding opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of public works engineering experience in municipal/government settings
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida
- Advanced proficiency in CAD, GIS, and engineering software
- Proven track record managing complex infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of FDOT and Miami-Dade County regulations
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Valid Florida driver's license
