Responsibilities
- Oversee county department operations and interagency coordination
- Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with county priorities
- Manage budget allocation and fiscal compliance for $3B+ annual budget
- Lead crisis response initiatives for public safety and emergency management
- Facilitate public engagement through town halls and community outreach
- Analyze policy impacts and recommend legislative actions to Commissioners Court
- Collaborate with municipal partners on regional development projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years in municipal/county government leadership
- Texas Class C Driver's License and valid Texas residency
- Experience with federal grant administration and compliance
- Advanced knowledge of Texas local government codes
- Proven crisis management and emergency response leadership
- Certified Public Manager (CPM) designation strongly preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly desirable
