Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize county-wide network infrastructure including servers, storage, and cloud systems
- Implement robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for county departments and troubleshoot complex IT issues
- Oversee system upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery planning
- Develop and maintain IT documentation, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with vendors to procure and implement new technologies
- Mentor junior IT staff and ensure compliance with government IT standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration
- Expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS)
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance
