Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate court records, including filing, indexing, and retrieving documents.
- Receive, open, and process incoming mail, including legal documents, subpoenas, and motions.
- Assist judges, attorneys, and the general public by answering inquiries regarding court schedules, case status, and procedures.
- Prepare and issue official court documents such as writs, judgments, and summonses.
- Operate office equipment, including scanners, copiers, and case management software.
- Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy to update case management systems.
- Maintain a professional and organized work environment in accordance with court security protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree or paralegal certification is a plus.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an office setting, preferably in a legal, government, or court environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
