Responsibilities
- Manage and file official court documents, deeds, and legal records with precision and adherence to strict deadlines.
- Interact with the public, attorneys, and court officials in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Process cash transactions, maintain accurate ledgers, and handle payments for court fees and filings.
- Utilize computer systems to input data, update case files, and generate reports for the Clerk's Office.
- Assist with scheduling court hearings, managing docket information, and answering general inquiries.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clerk's office and public counter areas.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required; some college coursework in business or public administration is preferred.
- Previous experience in an office environment, customer service, or government setting is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential for record-keeping.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
