Responsibilities
- Process and file legal documents including petitions, motions, and court orders
- Manage court calendars, schedule hearings, and coordinate with judges/staff
- Collect and record court fees, fines, and restitution payments
- Provide public assistance with court procedures, forms, and case information
- Maintain accurate digital and physical case records according to judicial standards
- Prepare official transcripts and administrative reports as required
- Ensure compliance with state and federal court regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years experience in legal/administrative support or court operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with ability to manage confidential information
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Knowledge of Texas court procedures and legal terminology preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license required
