Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and file legal documents, court orders, and civil filings with precision and timeliness.
- Interact professionally with the public, attorneys, and court personnel to answer inquiries and provide information regarding court procedures.
- Operate office machinery, including scanners, printers, and copiers, to maintain digital and physical archives.
- Prepare and process court-related correspondence, including summonses, warrants, and judgments.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive legal and personal information.
- Assist in the organization of courtroom schedules and case files.
- Perform data entry and database management tasks to ensure record accuracy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; an Associate’s degree in business or criminal justice is preferred.
- Previous experience in a clerical, administrative, or legal support role is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as required by court schedules.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
