Responsibilities
- Process court filings, legal documents, and administrative paperwork with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage public inquiries and provide courteous assistance to court visitors, attorneys, and litigants
- Maintain accurate digital and physical records using case management systems
- Schedule hearings, trials, and meetings while coordinating with judges and court staff
- Prepare official court orders, summonses, and notices following judicial protocols
- Assist in jury selection processes and manage juror documentation
- Ensure compliance with Texas state judiciary regulations and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in paralegal studies or criminal justice preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in administrative/clerical roles within legal or government settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of Texas court procedures and legal terminology
