Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate court records, filings, and documentation with meticulous attention to detail
- Process and serve legal documents including summons, subpoenas, and court orders
- Provide exceptional customer service to attorneys, litigants, and the public regarding case inquiries and procedures
- Coordinate with judges, attorneys, and court personnel to ensure seamless judicial operations
- Utilize specialized legal software for record-keeping, docket management, and document retrieval
- Assist in jury selection processes and manage juror communications
- Prepare official court correspondence and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Paralegal Studies, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of legal administrative or court experience
- Proficiency in legal software (e.g., Odyssey, FileTrak) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage complex caseloads
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with legal professionals
- Knowledge of Tennessee court procedures and legal terminology
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Tennessee Notary Public certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
