Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events to identify potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for federal systems.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls and SIEM solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards.
- Prepare and present technical reports to government stakeholders and management.
- Respond to incidents and coordinate with incident response teams for rapid resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT infrastructure support.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and encryption standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
