Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents during night shift hours.
- Implement and maintain security protocols in compliance with government standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage firewall rules and intrusion detection systems (IDS) 24/7.
- Generate and distribute security reports to senior management.
- Collaborate with the day-shift team to resolve escalated security issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (US Citizen).
- Certification such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in network security or SOC analysis.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision.
