Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity incidents across federal networks
- Implement and maintain advanced security protocols (NIST, FISMA) for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified/unclassified platforms
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate with federal law enforcement agencies
- Provide security training to federal employees and contractors
- Manage security information and event management (SIEM) systems
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity policies and directives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal cybersecurity roles
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure) and network defense strategies
- Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST SP 800-53)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to document security procedures
