Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain VA's secure IT infrastructure including cloud platforms and network systems
- Provide technical support for veterans' health records systems and telehealth applications
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system upgrades and compliance initiatives
- Document technical procedures and maintain system documentation
- Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity operations
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management or cybersecurity
- Federal IT security certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP) required
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of federal IT compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
