Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security threats across federal networks using SIEM tools
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate breach mitigation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement zero-trust architecture and access controls
- Lead security awareness training for federal employees
- Collaborate with CISA and other federal agencies on threat intelligence
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP standards
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience in government or regulated sector
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in Splunk, Palo Alto Networks, or similar tools
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (NIST 800-53)
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability Determination
