Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Develop and implement incident response plans for cybersecurity breaches
- Monitor network traffic and analyze security logs using SIEM tools
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Lead security awareness training for federal employees
- Manage security audits and coordinate remediation efforts
- Stay current on emerging threats and countermeasures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience
- Active Security+ CE or CISSP certification
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
