Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on public infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Assist in the inspection and testing of water and sewer systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Operate heavy machinery and construction equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Document work performed, including daily logs, material usage, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and field staff to complete projects on time.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines while on site.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
