Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors to the DMV office with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Process driver's license renewals, vehicle registrations, and title transfers accurately and efficiently.
- Answer phone inquiries and resolve customer complaints regarding fees, policies, and document requirements.
- Verify customer identification and documentation to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while maintaining strict accuracy and accountability.
- Input data into computer systems and maintain organized filing systems for physical records.
- Assist customers in completing complex forms and guide them through the application process.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, reception, or government services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clarity and patience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing (40+ WPM).
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment without sacrificing accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-first attitude.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
