Responsibilities
- Interact professionally with a diverse population to answer inquiries regarding driver licensing, vehicle registration, and identification cards.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the stateβs automated licensing system (ALS).
- Verify documentation, calculate fees, and ensure all compliance requirements are met for vehicle and driver services.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby environment to enhance the customer experience.
- Resolve complex customer issues and escalate escalated cases to supervisors or technical support as needed.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, retail, or office administration.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policies clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn proprietary software quickly.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are highly preferred due to the diverse demographics of Seattle.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as required by the department.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a satisfactory background check.
