Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of parks, trails, and recreational facilities throughout the city.
- Perform landscaping duties including mowing, weeding, planting, and irrigation system maintenance.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely.
- Monitor park areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and address hazards immediately.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of community events, sports leagues, and recreational programs.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in designated areas.
- Perform minor facility repairs and report maintenance needs to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Nevada Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and gardening practices is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with the public.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
