Responsibilities
- Public Assistance: Screen and assist applicants for various state assistance programs, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Client Intake: Manage high-volume front-desk operations, greeting visitors and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Data Management: Enter and update confidential information into state databases with a high degree of precision and security compliance.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, and local government policies.
- Community Outreach: Participate in local events and outreach programs to inform the public about available state resources.
- Administrative Support: Maintain office supplies, schedule appointments, and prepare correspondence as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative, customer service, or government-related role.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and state case management software.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to government regulations and policies.
- Availability: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
