Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during disasters
- Develop and update emergency preparedness plans for 2M+ residents
- Manage critical incident communication systems (EOC/NIMS protocols)
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for key infrastructure
- Train public safety personnel on emergency response procedures
- Lead FEMA grant applications and compliance documentation
- Execute tabletop exercises and full-scale emergency drills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of emergency management or public safety experience
- Incident Command System (ICS) certification (FEMA 100-200)
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) compliance expertise
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work 24/7 shifts during emergencies
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and emergency software (WebEOC, EMTrack)
