Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response operations during natural disasters and public health crises
- Develop and implement comprehensive disaster mitigation plans for Houston metropolitan area
- Lead community preparedness training programs and public awareness campaigns
- Analyze risk assessments and recommend infrastructure improvements for disaster resilience
- Manage emergency supply chain logistics and resource allocation protocols
- Prepare detailed after-action reports and strategic improvement recommendations
- Collaborate with FEMA and state/local officials on unified emergency frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in disaster response coordination or emergency services
- Professional certification in Emergency Management (CEM or equivalent)
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and emergency management software (WebEOC, EMTrack)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record for field deployment
- Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure, 24/7 emergency environments
- Strong knowledge of NIMS/ICS protocols and FEMA guidelines
- Exceptional communication skills for multi-stakeholder coordination
