Responsibilities
- Coordinate multi-agency emergency response protocols during natural disasters and public safety incidents
- Develop and implement crisis communication strategies for city-wide alerts
- Manage resource allocation for emergency shelters and medical aid stations
- Conduct regular drills with fire, police, and medical departments
- Update emergency response plans based on federal guidelines
- Train public-facing staff in emergency procedures
- Analyze incident data to improve future response efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years experience in government emergency response coordination
- FEMA certifications in Incident Command System (ICS) 100-400
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work 24/7 shifts during crisis events
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and emergency software platforms
- Strong conflict resolution and decision-making skills
- US citizenship and ability to pass federal background clearance
