Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to departmental staff with scheduling, filing, and document management
- Assist constituents with inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Prepare and maintain official records, reports, and correspondence
- Coordinate meetings and events including agenda preparation and minute-taking
- Process forms, permits, and applications following established protocols
- Utilize municipal software systems for data entry and record maintenance
- Support cross-departmental projects with research and documentation tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- 1+ years of administrative support or customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced government environment
- Basic knowledge of public sector procedures preferred
- Valid California driver's license may be required
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the US
