Responsibilities
- Receive and screen incoming calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries from the public regarding agency programs and services.
- Provide accurate information and direct constituents to the appropriate departments or staff members.
- Process applications, forms, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Update and maintain accurate records in departmental databases and filing systems.
- Assist in the organization of public events and community outreach programs.
- Resolve routine customer issues and escalate complex matters to senior staff for resolution.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous customer service or administrative experience is preferred but not mandatory for this entry-level role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to type at least 35 WPM.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent legal status.
