Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support including scheduling, correspondence, and records management
- Assist with budget tracking, procurement requests, and travel arrangements
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and special events for department leadership
- Maintain accurate databases and ensure compliance with federal recordkeeping standards
- Support veterans and their families with inquiries and documentation processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline office operations
- Utilize federal IT systems including GSA and VA-specific software platforms
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of federal administrative procedures preferred
- Ability to pass federal background investigation
