Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to departmental operations including scheduling, correspondence, and records management
- Assist in processing veteran benefit applications and documentation with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangements for staff and external stakeholders
- Utilize federal databases and software systems for data entry, reporting, and record maintenance
- Support compliance with federal regulations, privacy laws, and agency policies
- Communicate effectively with veterans, families, and internal staff regarding services and procedures
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery efficiency
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
