Responsibilities
- Review and process incoming federal benefits applications and claims with high accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service to veterans, seniors, and the general public via phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of sensitive federal records and databases.
- Communicate complex policy information in a clear, understandable manner to non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to ensure compliance with federal regulations and agency procedures.
- Perform data entry tasks to update beneficiary information and track case statuses.
- Participate in regular training to stay current on changes in federal benefits legislation.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship Required: Must be a United States Citizen to apply for federal positions.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Human Services, or related field preferred.
- No Experience Necessary: This is an entry-level position; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously review documents for errors and discrepancies.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new database software quickly.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Background Check: Must be willing and able to pass a federal background investigation (including fingerprinting and credit check).
