Responsibilities
- Document Processing: Handle the intake, sorting, and filing of incoming mail and federal documents with the highest level of accuracy.
- Database Management: Enter and update information into VA computer systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Customer Assistance: Greet visitors and answer incoming phone calls to direct inquiries or provide basic information regarding services.
- Administrative Support: Assist senior staff with scheduling appointments, preparing meeting packets, and performing general office errands.
- Compliance: Follow established federal guidelines and office protocols to ensure regulatory compliance in all daily tasks.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for both physical and electronic records.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior experience is required. We are looking for candidates with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
- Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and typing skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public and staff.
- Background: Ability to pass a federal background investigation and drug screen.
- Work Ethic: Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
