Responsibilities
- Assist in the accurate processing and documentation of federal pension applications and benefit claims.
- Review and verify pension plan data to ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service to veterans and beneficiaries by answering inquiries regarding retirement benefits and pension plans via phone, email, or in-person.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and case managers to resolve complex pension-related issues efficiently.
- Maintain meticulous records of all pension transactions and correspondence in our secure digital database.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to stay updated on changes in federal retirement laws and pension administration procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with sensitive personal and financial information with strict confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain necessary security clearances.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal position.
