Responsibilities
- Manage high-volume incoming communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for department supervisors.
- Assist the public with inquiries regarding state services and direct them to the appropriate resources.
- Prepare, proofread, and distribute internal memos, reports, and correspondence.
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Illinois Driverβs License (may be required for occasional travel).
