Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality administrative support to department managers and staff, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and managing correspondence.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate digital and physical records for city projects and personnel.
- Assist in preparing meeting agendas, taking minutes, and distributing meeting packets to stakeholders.
- Research and compile information from various sources to assist with reports and special projects.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and interoffice documents efficiently.
- Support the coordination of city events and community outreach initiatives.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to all municipal policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher is a plus.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public and staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
- Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to changing departmental needs.
